Dig fountains (don’t)

  • Now it’s possible to dig fountains (normal and dried). Be careful, it might be not too safe;
  • Now you can get object feeling again! To get it you should explore most parts of the level (by default it was 10%);
  • New sounds: spell fail, unaffected, immune, resist a lot, resist, resist somewhat;
  • ?CSW helps a bit VS poison;
  • ?CLW less useful vs confusion;
  • Mountain Gorge dungeon got less trees in corridors;
  • Added more stairs in early-mid dungeons;
  • Old Ranger doesn’t have ‘normal’ items anymore;
  • Fixed monsters lore in-game and at the website;
  • Added plenty of new guides – in English and in Russian language;
  • Fixed commands in ‘help’;
  • Players now can find foundations stones (for house building) only after lvl 8;
  • Fix sound ‘resist_a_lot’ error;
  • Players starts without spades;
  • Fixed wrong LIGHT flag for some races;
  • Added road to second newbie dungeon (will be available in next major update);
  • Fixed cost line in player’s village (next update too).

CLASSES

Sorcerer:

  • spell of Identify require some satiation
  • Detect Treasure, Find traps/doors/stairs: now cause blind status for some time

Class spells MAP_AREA become less cruel for Druid, Hunter, Ranger, Necromancer, Sorcerer. Telepath spells can do mapping without penalty.

Warrior/monk/unbeliever + titan/half-giant race got -1 BpR till lvl 35

Necromancer and druid got missing start equipment

RACES (a lot of rebalancing as usual)

Half-Troll

  • no dam_red and tunnel bonus (as they got regen without extra hunger)

Human

  • need 25% more exp to lvl up (which makes this race easier to play as you won’t pass dungeons’ brackets) // later on in patch notes: if there is no sign near exp number – it’s +
  • +1 dex @ 50
  • slow digestion @ 50
  • no speed bonus 

Half-Elf

  • 10% exp
  • tunnel 1->15lvl

Elf

  • speed 50->40lvl

Halfling

  • 10% exp
  • +1 INT @ 48
  • no speed bonus
  • slow digest @ 50

Dwarf

  • 10% exp
  • got extra booze at start

Half-Orc

  • got extra Cutlass at start
  • speed: 35->50lvl
  • slow digest @ 50
  • ESP orc: 15->25lvl
  • additional damage reducion at late lvls

Dunedain

  • better save
  • start with better stealth
  • -15% exp (harder)
  • start with better STR and CON

High-Elf

  • much better save
  • -30% exp
  • start with better stealth

Kobold

  • slow digest @ 50

Yeek

  • 50% exp
  • start with more different food
  • less movement bonus @ 24
  • huge bonus to steath
  • slow digestion
  • no extra mana

Ent

  • -15% exp
  • starts with more bottles
  • malus to speed moved to 50lvl

Thunderlord

  • -10% exp

Dragon

  • -15% exp

Hydra

  • 15% exp
  • resistance to chaos: 40->35lvl
  • see ore: 1->25lvl

Damned

  • 10% exp

Barbarian

  • poison resist: 40->1lvl
  • slow digest @ 50

Black Dwarf

  • starts with shurikens instead of ale
  • disen resist: 25->35lvl

Goblin

  • start with a Main Gauche sword
  • more DEX at start
  • can ESP orcs @ 20lvl

Half-Giant

  • movement increase more gradually
  • stun: 1->32lvl
  • less damage reducing
  • slow digest @ 50

Ogre

  • starts with more Scrap of Flesh

Troll

  • less INT reduction
  • -1 CHR
  • poison resist: 20->1lvl
  • shards resist: 35->25lvl

Orc

  • starts with extra Swig of Orcish Liquor
  • can ESP orc @ 15 lvl

Werewolf

  • 10% exp

Undead

  • 10% exp
  • less INT/WIS malus
  • no bonus to mana

Maiar (big nerf)

  • removed bonus to disarm, save, search
  • exp malus restored to normal
  • removed resistance to cold, electricity, poison, time
  • removed cold brand
  • removed malus to MIGHT
  • slay evil brand: 50->1lvl
  • +1 light radius @ 30 lvl
  • slow digestion 10->1lvl
  • more hunger @ 50lvl
  • all other bonuses moved to mid-late game

Demonic

  • better MD
  • start with ?Enchant Weapon To-Dam
  • start with neutral CHR
  • no fire and sound resistance
  • chaos resist: 50->1lvl
  • +1 stealth
  • less malus to damage

Balrog

  • starts with whip (regular one)
  • less cruel WIS malus
  • +1 light @ 50

Celestial

  • -25% exp
  • +1 light @ 1lvl
  • got bonuses earlier
  • removed electric brand and resist
  • no impared mana
  • slay undead: 50->1lvl

Nephalem

  • slay deamon: 25->1lvl
  • hunger @ 50lvl

Gargoyle

  • bonus to movement (compensate speed malus)
  • no impared HP
  • less damage reduction
  • slow digest @ 50lvl

Golem

  • no impared HP
  • less damage reduction

Pixie

  • starts with more CON, which slowly degrades
  • trap immunity: 1->15lvl
  • got huge bonus to slow digestion

Draconian

  • slow digest @ 50

Titan

  • -15% exp
  • +1 light @ 25
  • less movement bonus at start
  • stun: 1->32
  • less damage reduction
  • shapechange temporary disabled

Elemental

  • less damage malus

Frostmen

  • cold brand:35->1lvl

Djinn

  • -10% exp
  • removed bonus to blows/might

Harpy

  • better search
  • 25% exp
  • worse at digging

Minotaur

  • -10% ep
  • starts with less !CSW

Troglodyte

  • 25% exp
  • slow digest @ 50

Gnoll

  • 15% exp
  • -1 hp dice
  • movement boni: 30->1lvl
  • confusion protection @ 35

Wisp

  • +3 Light @ 1-24-48

  • worse at shooting

  • starts with less ?Detonation

Wraith

  • starts with more scrolls of darkness
  • no exp drain

Beholder

  • less cruel damage malus
  • no impair mana

Removing experemental feature – primary mana stat for dragon, hydra, balrog (for example, if you start a mage – class bonus to stat will be INT.. So we need to think how to make primary race stat bonuses work right); maybe we will come back to it later.
